SPRING is in the AIR

And so are pregnant women!!!!  Tonight I was sitting in bed editing (something I do most nights) and Sami my 7yr old crawls in bed next to me, she loves to watch me edit….and talk my ear off…. She says “ANOTHER pregnant lady mom!!”   I hadn’t thought about it until I heard her say it… but WOW, I have had a lot of new mommies the past month!!!     I have a program called the Watch Me Grow program… it is an unbeatable deal!!!  I started offering it after   Sami, my youngest was born and I was reminded how tough it is to have a new baby, how expensive it is…and HOW FAST they grow up and that “baby” is gone forever!!!!  (Don’t get me wrong, my 19 yr old is still very much my “baby” but he isn’t small and cute anymore!!! LOL)
With the WMG membership you got portrait sessions at New Born, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and 1yr.   For each session you only pay $100 and you receive all of your 4x6 proofs, the digital images and copyright release & 3 printed sheets…that’s a $325 value each time for only $100!!!   It only cost $300 to join and you save all year!   You can add in siblings, the whole family, or just bring baby…up to you!   If you want to add in an additional session you get a discount…if you want to go on location to the park or the beach, you get a discount!!!    The savings don’t stop!!!    OH, I almost forgot… when you come in for the New Born session, I also design custom photo birth announcements for you and give you 50 absolutely free!!
So… my secret, why I have had so many pregnant women the past couple months….. If you join the WMG…. You get to add in a Maturity session for only $100!!!

Looking back over the years

So, as you already know…I am not much of a “blogger”, and for those of you who know me, know I am a big talker….and I write and journal for personal stress relief, but the idea of “BLOGGING” has always scared me, so I think I am going to take a different approach to this whole blog thing… I think I am just going to put down my personal thought and not stress about it so much…Here we go… my “new blog”   Everyone knows I have been a portrait photographer my whole life, I mean, even before I was trained and became professional, I took portraits…I was 8 when I remember falling in love with portraits photography.  I posed my dolls, friends, family….    Well, the past few days I have been going through personal photos, sorting things and WOW… it really reminded me…I really have an important job!  I mean I know, I’m not a doctor or scientist…I’m not going to cure anything or anyone… but I have the honor of preserving memories, not just for my family but for your family.   I know today we all have cameras in our cell phone, but in 3 yrs, where are those pictures?   We all take it for granted, but when I take your portraits, you keep them, treasure them….look back on them!   Here are a few portraits that I have taken over the years that I have recently looked back on…. Awwww how the time flies!

Double the Love Double the Fun

Early on in my life, my dad used to tell me… “If you want to be successful, find something no one wants to do and get really good at it.”   One of the first things I noticed about photographers is that no one really liked taking portraits of twins, triplets and large groups.   So I began to search them out and began to work on poses and found that I really enjoyed the extra challenges of photographing multiples and big groups!    I have been a professional portrait photographer since 1989, I continue to work on my skills and try to challenge myself as much as I can…   Check out the beautiful babies that were just in my studio...

Last min Senior Portraits!

I understand what it is like having a senior in the house!  This is an expensive year!!!!   (I have a senior this year and then I will have one next year too…..)     But, remember, this year is probably going to be the last time for that “yearly” portrait….   Next year they are off to school and sending mom a nice portrait probably wont be on their minds for a while.   So, it’s NOT TOO LATE!   Call and make an appointment, as always, I have packages & payment plans that meet just about everyone’s budget.

Look at this little cutie!

We went to SeaPort Village for this fun shoot!   I love SeaPort Village, because my husband and I walked around there on our first date…. Ok that was a long time ago, but I still love to go there and walk around, watch a magic show and buy something I just "can't live without".   However, this is the first time I have done portraits there.  It was a lot of fun!   We took some on the  historic carousel… then in photoshop I did the “hand painted effect”, turned everything black and white then added some color back in, I think it looks amazing.  We are going to print a 16x20 of this one for Grandma’s house!
This little 3 yr old has lots of energy, but she sure did a great job!
